Pokemon Go Signed Out Cant Get Back in
If you're a regular Pokémon-er, you'll have noticed that the app was available for upgrade over the weekend. But rather than being an exciting series of developments to enhance the game, it seems like the update has instead caused a whole bunch of problems for its dedicated players.
While some positive aspects have been included in the update - such as the ability to edit the appearance of your avatar, (hopefully) the removal of that frustrating freezing bug, and the function to lock in your favorite Pokémon as a means of preventing an accidental transfer to Professor Oakley in exchange for ONE MEASLEY CANDY - various features have been amended and removed, with several new glitches having now emerged.

And one in particular has caused pure chaos: people's accounts appear to have reset, undoing all the hard Pokémon-catching work they've been doing over the past three weeks. You can imagine how devastatingthatwould be.
Panic not, though. There couldbe a way to undo/prevent it for those of you who are too scared to download the app update. Here's what you should do if it does look like you're being taken all the way back to the beginning:
1. Two options to try first: either temporarily delete the app and re-download it, or make sure you've fully signed out of your account by heading to the main menu, then settings, then sign out. You might have to do this twice for it to properly work.
2. Open the app and select the Google login method.
3. This will redirect youto the Safari web browser to complete the login process.
4. Check the email address displayed at the top right corner of the page. Make sure it's the same email address you used when you originally created your Pokémon GO account
5. If it's not the right one, sign out of Google and log back in with the right account.
6. If it is the right email address, click 'allow' button and it will take you back to the Pokémon GO app.
7. Everything should be there as normal, and you can breathe a big sigh of relief.
If the above doesn't work, Hypable suggests trying to reset your Google password information from Safari. This can be done by going into your phone's settings, selecting Safari, then general, then passwords. Google.com should appear as one of the options, so if you tap and delete it before re-downloading Pokémon GO, this should hopefully work.
Sadly, though, the update came with a few more disruptions that we can't do much about. Like the removal of the 'tracking' feature, for example. You'll have noticed at the bottom right hand corner of the screen, Pokémon in the vicinity show up with a number of footprint marks supposedly corresponding to how far away they are from you.
Niantic
But after users complained about a bug that always seemed to display three footsteps, the game's creators Niantic Inc. appear to have removed the footstep feature completely. Now, nearby Pokémon still appear in the grid, but users must simply assume they're 'around' somewhere, with no actual gauge as to how far.
As you can see, people aren't happy:
And on top of the frustration, there's also disappointment that the trading and breeding features promised by Niantic's CEO John Hanke at last week's Comic Con haven't yet been rolled out. All in good time, fellow Pokémon trainers. All in good time...
